Polyimide (PI)

Polyimide (PI) is made of Imide monomers, this thermosetting polyimide have excellent properties for thermal stability, chemical resistance and mechanical strength, if compound the material with graphite or glass fiber reinforcement, its flexural strengths can be improved up to 345 MPA and Flexural Modulus of 20,684 MPA respectively. Most importantly its properties can maintain well at temperatures of 232 °C and 482 °C for short excursion. Polyimide parts are not affected by most solvents and oils , but it is not recommended for environments that contain alkalis or inorganic acids.
