Polycarbonate (PC)

Polycarbonate (PC) is produce by reaction of Bis-phenol and phosgene, it is a thermoplastic with high toughness, good dimensional stability and very good light transmittancy. If for application that required high surface hardness, a hard coating layer can be coated onto polycarbonate surface, this will increase its surface hardness; so as to have anti-scratch effect, and same the same coating method can be apply when a conductive layer is required. Polycarbonate has potential for exposure to Bis-phenol; especially when it’s in direct contact with foods and beverages, although the test data indicated no known risk to human health, but it is still need be caution when uses for high temperature.
