Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS)

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a crystalline organic thermoplastics produce from condensation of dichlorobenzene and sodium chloride in an organic solvent. This product may be opaque white to light tan in color. Its maximum service temperature is about 210 degree C. PPS has outstanding chemical resistance, thermal dimensional stability, and fire retardant properties. The material is inert toward organic solvents and inorganic salts, also it is suitable for contact with foods. The disadvantage for PPS being relatively high warpage and high brittleness.
