Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a non-reinforced highly
crystalline fluoropolymer, its has relatively higher tensile strength, higher hardness, good chemical resistant and reasonable dimension stability, if in comparison with traditional PTFE material, its recommended working temperature ranges from -60 to +170oC.
PVDF is chemically resistant to halogens, such as chlorine, bromine, fluorine, iodine, solvents and strong acids even at high temperatures up to 150 degree C but a special precautions have to be taken when burning this material, as it will release toxic fumes.
